Eugenia wants to know:
What will you be when you grow up?
What I will be is a tough one but I’d like to be a collector, a sommelier, a perfumer or a diplomat.
What makes you happy?
Late night conversations.
Seeing people being stupid/weird/idiotic.
Sitting by myself with my thoughts.
Writing things I never show anyone.
What is happiness?
I think it is a perceived state of being. I say this because I feel happy when I perceive that other people are happy. However it seems that those who seem happy, rarely are… I don’t know… no comment.
Do you prefer the great outdoors or the great indoors? What do you do there?
A little from column A, a little from column B. The sun is great and everything but is there really anything you can do outside that you can’t do inside? Really?
Sure, maybe you can’t climb a mountain inside but did you ever think that maybe we are climbing metaphorical mountains behind the warm, iridescent glow of our computer screens?
Also. the internet is just a whole lot better indoors.
Do you look at or avoid mirrors?
I tend to look… I mean like I don’t think I’m like super babin’ and everyone loves me or anything but when you catch your reflection in the window of a passing tram, it’s like “damn I look goooood today!”
What’s your favourite colour?
Changes all the time, but I’m a fan of burnt orange.
Tell me about a song OR scene from a film that evokes a particular time, memory, experience, story for you…
For as long as I can remember when I’m focused on something I grind my teeth to Hava Nagila… and I’m not Jewish. Sometimes I do it without even noticing and quite often find myself reading or writing things to the tune of it. It’s weird… this profile probably isn’t going to win me any friends is it?
What’s the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen?
My parents celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary on our boat with a cheap supermarket cake, plastic plates and smiles all-round. It was just before the shit hit the fan and will forever be my go to happy place and a reminder that beauty fades.
If you have travel planned for the future, where will you go and what will you do there?
Jordan – To float in the dead sea, Morocco – to wear cream linen kaftans and ride camels to an oasis, New York – to feed my mind and stomach and Tokyo, repeatedly – to remind myself that I am statistically irrelevant.
Ever wanted to know what it’s like in another person’s shoes? Who would you consider swapping a day in your life with? Why?
Sometimes. Probably Barack Obama. Because he is an attractive, middle aged man that most people like and respect – does it really get much better than that?
