The Sisters Hayes would like to know:

What did you (or do you) want to be when you grow up?
A better person.

How many siblings do you have and what is your birth order (oldest, middle child, youngest, only child)?
I am the eldest, of course. I have three sisters – Sarah, 21; Carly, 18; and Lisa, 15. All are smart, hilarious and gorgeous young women, each in their own exceptional way.

Are you doing what you love with your life? Why or Why not?
I like to think so. I play music too loud, stay up too late, smoke too many cigarettes, drink too much coffee, cycle recklessly, and keep good company.

What is your favourite hobby or past time? Is this something you prefer to do alone or with others and why?
I love to discover new places. I don’t mind if I am on my own, or with new or old friends; it’s all part of the fun. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit many exotic locales in my 27 years, but there are still many more adventures to be had.

What is the most embarrassing song on your iPod that you do not want to delete?
Enya’s Orinoco Flow.
Describe an important place to you. Include things like what season or time of day it is. Also let us know of any important smells or colours you associate with that place.
Somewhere under the stars with the warm summer air on my back. The comforting hum of cicadas fill my ears. The sky is clear and the moon illuminates my lovers’ perfect skin.

What three things do you ‘feel you need’ to carry with you (other than your phone, wallet or keys)?
Cigarettes, chewing gum and a wrist-watch.
What fictional character do you most identify with and why?
Hannah Horvath, the protagonist of Girls. I’m an average woman with shitty tattoos, fumbling my way through life. I would like to think that I am more caring and less selfish than Hannah, however. I really hope I am.

What book OR movie do you enjoy reading/watching over and over again? The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides: a gorgeous novel to get lost in.

Describe something you wear that makes you feel confident, happy or powerful.
A smile.
